Abstract
The purpose of this original work is to explore and develop novel organic synthetic methodology with the major aim of acquiring potentially biologically active novel compounds.
To explore the synthetic scope of the reactions of 1,3-indanedione with different Bifunctional reagents in the presence of different media (basic or acidic media)In different solvents.
These reactions will allow the incorporation of synthetically indenamino nitrile group onto heterocyclic rings. Also to study the mechanism of the aforementioned reactions and develop additional synthetic methodologies based on the mechanism studies.
