المستخلص Problem of the Study: The research problem was represented in the difficulty that psychology-section students encounter while acquiring the meta-cognitive skills and achievement motivation. Therefore, there was a need to study thinking skills through a suggested programme based on learning dimensions. Objectives of the Study: The present study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a suggested programme (in learning and thinking) based on the learning dimensions model in developing some meta-cognitive skills and achievement motivation for psychology-section students at Assiut College of Education. Tools of the Study: To accomplish the research objectives, the researcher used an achievement test at the levels of: remembering, comprehension, and application, a meta-cognitive skills scale, and an achievement motivation scale. In addition, the thinking and learning programme was constructed along with a student’s book prepared in the light of the learning-dimensions model, and a teacher’s guide prepared in the light of the learning-dimensions model. Results of the Study: The study results indicate the effectiveness of the suggested programme in learning and thinking prepared in the light of the learning-dimensions model in developing achievement for the experimental group students and also in developing some meta-cognitive skills and achievement motivation. |
