Abstract This is a prospective study that included 30 patients of symptomatic haemorrhoids of 2nd, 3rd and 4th degrees. The patients were randomly devided into two groups each included patients, first group underwent Doppler-guided haemorrhoidal artery ligation and the second group underwent ligation-excision haemorrhoidectomy. Patients underwent Doppler-guided haemorrhoidal artery ligation experienced less post-operative pain and less hospital stay and faster return to normal lifestyle than the other group. Also, Patients underwent Doppler-guided haemorrhoidal artery ligation had less post-operative bleeding and infection. No significant difference the two techniques as regarding to Operative time, Postoperative incontinence, residual prolapse, Postoperative stenosis and Recurrence. |
