Abstract
A significant biotic change occurred in the southern Nile valley and kharga oasis during the paleocene eocene thermal maximum(PETM 55 Ma)these changes which resulted from the coupled effect of sever warming and oxygen deficiency at mid and bottom water depth are well exhibited by contrasted lithologies and phased mode of faunal patterns of the dababiya quarry member.
