Abstract

Analysis of RC structures by using finite element techniques takes great attentions through the last two decades. A lot of finite element packages like ANSYS, ABAQUS, COSMOS, Dyna-3D, and NASTRAN have been modified to be used in the analysis of different elements of RC structures. In this research ANSYS finite element technique was used to analysis the structural behavior of RC structures strengthened with FRP systems. The analysis of structures strengthened with FRP systems was considered in three dimensions finite element analysis, where effects of material and geometric nonlinearities are taken into consideration to increase the accuracy of the results.
