Abstract Deep venous thrombosis is a leading cause for morbidity and mortality in many countries worldwide. The genetic predisposing factors play a major role. The established risk factors include green vegetables intake in diet, prolonged immobilization, concomitant medications and recently genetic polymorphism in CYP2C9 and VKORC1 genes which influence response to oralanticoagulant therapy. |
