Abstract

By taking a look around the world; and Teal workplace. everyone is busy, and a humans
are creatures of industry; work is considered a VCIY important part in
everyone’s lives. But are they satisfied by the work that takes more than 70%
of their day or it is only a job related to and easily titled themselves by a
certain career like ”I’m an accountant”, or ”I’m an engineer”.
The working environment and the office pace has an important effect
on recharging the batteries of their employees and raise their ability to
perform and feel the work they are doing. Although the world is now focused
on money and how to look professional, but the psychology of the workers is
much more important. The research aims to identi fy the required strategies to
design a flexible office that fits the future with its advanced communication
technology according to the user’s demands.
Offices were once cia i fied, arranged, and designed traditionally a
workspaces whether being closed or opened and that depends on the type of
organization; whether it needs concentration or its work can be done in a
public open pace. An interior design principles, colours, textures, and
furniture are studied, and ergonomically treated to fit the user.
Office ergonomics is studied to consider the workstations de .igns,
work processes, equipment, and tools to fit the worker to ay ”it’s a healthy
office” and it’s directly reflected on their productivity and work success.
Vast advances in technology have taken the office space to another
dimension and have shifted the definition of work to a new small world in a
small web where billions of people collaborate aero s time, space, and
organizational boundaries. Part three is con idered as a study towards the
expected future of the office, while introducing the 21” century office themes
and the communication technology required to make it virtual, productive , Abstract and Keywords The Impact of Information Technology on office spaces Future
As communication and information travels faster and faster, the world
seems smaller and smaller, and this has large implication on the way business
is conducted. Virtual workplace provides access to information that the
worker needs to perform their job anytime, anyplace, and anywhere without
being tied to their offices to do so. Technology now opens a line between
professional and private lives. Wireless internet, cell phones, and blackberries
have made it easy to work from home or even from the beach while being
connected virtually tQ.the office.
Three multi-national companies are considered as applicable case
studies that shows how the office interior affects its users and is important for
their success and their work productivity; while comparing their current
states with the 2 J SI century themes and put recommendations that helps their
work environment upgrading.
A questionnaire survey is distributed on more than 30 samples from
IT sector users in order to gather information about what they think or feel
about introducing the communication technology in their office space and
how its applications arc going to change tbe shape of their current working
life.
The visionary office of the Future will depend on flexible spaces; that
respect the new Technology demands reflecting its benefits on the space
designs, material, furniture, communications, and user’s way of thinking
that played an important role in transforming familiar office environment into
spaces that offer a window on the Future with its requirements.
