Abstract
Thoracic affections included thoracic cage deformities, thoracic affections and cardiac affections. The present study was carried out on 141 dogs and cats presented to the surgery department at faculty of veterinary medicine, Cairo University and 10 dogs and cats from some private clinics. The affected animals were different breeds, ages, sex. Chest radiography is one of the most important methods for diagnosis of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Radiography provides information about the topographic location, the type, and the extent of a thoracic disease which makes the physical findings more significant and more detailed. Thoracic radiography still the cornerstone for diagnosing and evaluating cardiopulmonary diseases. Radiographic examinations provide us for lasting record of maximum information.
