Abstract
selected from bl10 countries; Egypt and UK. A total of 225 noise exposed workers and 28 not exposed controls, chosen from a weaving factory in Beni-Suif-Egypt, and 93 workers exposed to occupational noise from GlynorrwggWales-UK. were subjected to a questionnaire for occupational hearing loss, clinical examination and pure tone audiometric test. The Egyptian workers were subeivided into three main groups: Group A: Noise exposed only. Group B: Noise exposed with military service. Group c: Noise exposed with conductive hearing loss (bilateral and unilateral). Each main group subdivided into 3 groups according to the dura~ion of worka) 1-5 years b) 5-15 years.
