Abstract This study aimed to investigate the effect of the managers’ emotional intelligence on quality of work life at Mansoura University’s special purpose units (SPUs). The study conducted on a sample of the employees and managers of these units, questionnaires were used to measure the effect of managers’ emotional intelligence competencies (independent variables) on quality of work life (dependent variables). Statistical methods used to test the hypotheses were that of Mann Whitney, Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s Correlation, and Stepwise Regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the employees of these special purpose units feel low quality of work life and it indicated that there is a significant effect of the managers’ emotional intelligence on quality of work life. |
