Abstract
Shortage of good quality water and low soil fertility is crucial in crop production particularly in countries sufferindxg scarcity of water resources and raw materials that are very costly when imported. In Libya, crop production is hindered by issues of water supply and low soil fertility. There are no rivers in the country that provide the essential water budget for different purposes including drinking, industry and Agriculture. This limited water resources should be utilized more efficiently. Sample point technique for monitoring crop status is tedious, laborious and costly.
