Abstract The present study aimed to assess the clinical significance of plasma adrenomedullin level in type 2 diabetic patients with and without nephropathy and to evaluate its relation to various clinical and laboratory parameters.Forty five type 2 diabetic patients were selected to perform the study. They were classified according to urinary microalbumin into three groups: 15 patients with normoalbuminuria, ] 5 with microalbuminuria and 15 patients with macroalbuminuria. They were compared to healthy subjects as a control group. |
