Abstract

This thesis presents two techniques to improve the performance of mobile Ad Hoc network (MANETs). A bridge twoards the presented techniques is based on studing and testing three different, well knwn types of routing protocols, namlt, reactive (Ad Hoc on-demand distance vector, AODA), proactive (destination-sequenced distance vector DSDV), and hierachical (cluster based routing protocol, CBRD). these protocol are evaluated in terms of packet delivery fraction and network nodes energy life time under different network epeeds and sizes.
