Abstract This study was performed to compare the effect of nano-composite, micro-hybrid, nano-glass ionorner and conventional glass ionomer when used for intra-radicular reinforcement of weakened roots.A total of 75 similar-sized undamaged one rooted lower premolars were used in this study. Out of75 roots, 60 roots were experimentally over-flared in a standardized manner and randomly divided into four equal groups (15 each). The lost dentin was rebuilt with the reinforcing restorative materials. Roots in first group were reinforced with nano-flowable composite (Grandio Flow R) that was injected incrementally to fill the root canal spaces and polymerized with light cure through translucent plastic post maintaining space for the glass fiber post. The second group was reinforced with micro-hybrid composite (Esthet X Flow) that was injected to incrementally fill the root canal spaces as the same manner in the first group. The third group was reinforced with nano-ionomer. |
