Abstract
The recent advances in computer and imaging modalities allowed the development of many new technologies which are of great benefit to the maxillofacial specialty. The introduction of Cone Beam Computed Tomography played a great role in the diagnosis, planning and surgical intervention allowing a shorter surgical procedure which subsequently decrease the time of anesthesia and also lessens the complications that the surgeon might sometimes encounter in the operation room.
