Abstract Hepatitis C virus infection is the major etiological agent of chronic hepatitis and liver disease worldwide. It is estimated that approximately 130-210 million individuals of the world population are chronically infected with HCV. The aim of this study to assess health related behaviors among patients with viral hepatitis C. The results of this study revealed that Strong positive statistical significant correlation was found between total patients’ knowledge about HCV disease and total health behaviors. The study recommended Provide HCV patients with Health education programs in order to teach them how to apply healthy behaviors and avoid unhealthy behaviors to promote their health and prevent subsequent complication of disease and nurses should focus on correction of misconception of unhealthy behaviors among patients with HCV infection disease also their knowledge in performing health activities of daily living to avoid subsequent complications of HCV. |
