The sttudy iinvollved tthe ffollllowiing parrametterrs off ewes and offffsprriing:: lliitttterr siize att biirrtth ((LSB)),, lliitttterr siize att weaniing ((LSW)),, mean llamb weiightt att biirrtth (MLWB)),, mean llamb weiight att weaniing ((MLWW)).. Morreoverr,, body weiightt ((BW)),, body weiightt gaiin ((BWG)),, ffeed iinttake ((FII)),, ffeed converrsiion ((FC)) and economiic effffiiciiency A ttottall numberr off 6 Ossiimii ewes,, werre assiignedtt rrandomlly iintto ffourr equall grroups (( ewes each)),, allll grroups dependentt iin tthe ffllushiing > days befforre mattiing.. Fllushiing fforr ttwo weeks was tthe mostt effffecttiive perriiod.. IIn ffllushed ewes by prrotteiin--enerrgy--based suppllementtattiion,, enhanced ttheiirr nuttrriittiionall effffiiciiency,, tthe iinciidence off ttwiinniing iincrreased att 5% comparred wiitth unffllushed ewes and/orr ffllushed ewes by enerrgy--based suppllementtattiion ffollllowed by ffllushed ewes by prrotteiin--based suppllementtattiion ((%))..
