Two experiments were carried out at the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of
Environmental Agricultural Science, El-Arish Suez Canal University, North
Sinai Governorate, Egypt, during successive seasons 2008/2009 and 2009/2010.
The first experiment aimed to study the effect of deficit irrigation water on
enumeration of microorganisms in calcareous sandy loam soil, especially those
associated with roots of wheat (Triticum aestivum vulgare cv. Sakha 93). The
