Abstract

Turfgrass plants are considered the main element of landscape design. They are the part of garden where one may rest, play and really enjoy the garden. Among the newly introduced warm- season turfgras species to Egypt are Sea Isle Paspalum, Seashore Paspalum and Tifway ( Tiflon 419). Such three turfgrass species arte evaluated from the stand point of suitability , adaptability and visual performance in response to different planting density and NPK fertilization treatments under the environmental conditions prevailed in Luxor, South Egypt.
It is recommended under environmental and soil type conditions prevailed in South Egypt regions, to grow Sea Isle Paspalum turfgrass at the density of 81 plants/m2 (11 cm distance between plants), and to supply it with NPK fertilization at the rate of 20: 12: 12 g/m2, in order to obtain the best turfgrass visual quality and performance including higher covering density % with greener colour.
