Abstract Gallstones are an extremely common condition, arising in approximately 10% to 20% of the adult population. 90% of cholecystectomies are done laparoscopically. The incidence of bile duct injury in laparoscopic cholecystectomy is still high. In these, many factors have been incriminated in occurrence of bile duct injuries. Sari et al (2005) described a technique by which the methylene blue is injected into the gall bladder to delineate the bile ducts. This seems to be easier to perform, without any radiation exposure and less time consuming than conventional IOC (Key words) Bile ducts, Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, methylene blue, Gallstones, injection |
