Abstract IDDM is one of the most frequent chronic diseases of childhood, Studies show that many if not all of the complications of diabetes can be slowed Or even prevented by better management , thus we need to narrow the gap between what is known to be effective in diabetes care and the care that is currently provided through assessment of the diabetes clinic. This study is retrospective, analytic, randomized that will include a random sample of 1000 diabetic patients conducted in Abo El Resh Diabetic Endocrine Metabolic Pediatric Unit from December 2006 to August 2007.the study sample included Medical parameters:‐HbA1C, Anthropometric measurement, liver function, Lipid profile, microalbuminuria ,thyroid profiles, fundus examination, CBC,ECG. We found that the HbA1C done to 87.9% of patients, liver function to 74.3%, Lipid profile to 73.2%, microalbuminuria to 82.9% , thyroid profiles to70.5% & fundus , CBC, ECG, urine analysis, not done for many patients and only 8.2% of patients measured to them blood pressure. |
