Abstract

— Ultrasound guided epidural block provides a diagnostic approach for identifying the needle trajectory for epidural procedures.
— With knowledge of the ideal puncture point, the expected puncture angle and the expected depth of placement of the needle help to optimize the puncture processing.
Ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block has the advantages of the following:
• Real-time identification of the brachial plexus anatomy
• Accurate needle placement minimizing the risk of complications
• Short onset time; high success rate and excellent analgesia for the patient.
