Abstract
Key Words: Acalypha wilkesiana cv.Hoffmannii, Euphorbiaceae, Phenolics, Antioxidant, Cytotoxic, Antimicrobial, Hepatoprotective. Twelve phenolic constituents were individually isolated and identified from the aqueous methanolic leaves extract of Acalypha wilkesiana cv.hoffmannii, which identified in it for the first time. On the other hand, the aqueous methanolic leaves extract of A.w.cv.hoffmannii has been subjected to some (in vitro) biological studies including the evaluation of the antioxidant activity against the stable free radical DPPH, cytotoxic activity on 5 human cell lines, antimicrobial activity against bacterial and yeast and The hepatoprotective effect of the tested extract against paracetamol toxic effect.
