Abstract

br>Two experiments were carried out during two successive seasons of 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 at the Experimental Farm of Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. The first experiment was carried out to investigate the response of Echinacea paradoxa L. plants to the nitrogen fertilization at the rates of 0, 100, 200 and 300 Kg/fed. and potassium fertilization at the rates of at 0, 50 and 100 Kg/fed., and their interactions. The second experiment was carried out under the natural conditions of the greenhouse of the National Research Center, Dokki, Giza, Egypt to investigate the effect of irrigation with saline water at the concentration of 0, 1500 and 3000 ppm of NaCl + CaCl2 solution (1:1) on Echinacea purpurea, L. plants.
