Abstract Nano zirconium vanadate powder was synthesized using sol-gel and hydrothermal techniques; the effect of microwave thermal treatment on its physical, optical and electrical properties was studied at different treatment conditions. Moreover for further development of zirconium vanadate (ZrVSO?) properties, low valance cations such as cesium was added as a dopant element in synthesis of zirconium vanadate (ZrV207) , and the doping effect on the properties of the compound was examined without microwave thermal treatment and with microwave thermal treatment at different conditions. The morphology and particles size, crystal structure, thermal stability, optical properties and electrical properties of the different synthesized samples were identified by different characterization tools such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), UV-Vis. spectroscopy and impedance spectroscopy. According to these studies, it was revealed that the variation in the preparation technique, the presence of small impurities, and the thermal treatment have a considerable effect on the different properties of zirconium vanadate (ZrV207). |
