Abstract

WiMAX (Worldwide InteroperabiJity for Microwave Access) embodies the IEEE 802.16 families of standards that provision wireless broadband access. With the IEEE 802.16e-2005 mobility amendment, WiMAX promises to address the ever increasing demand of mobile high-speed wireless data in fourth generation networks. WiMAX market studies continue to project increased subscriber growth rates and planned carrier trials worldwide. With these projected growth rates, in order to understand if WiMAX is a formidable player in 4th generation mobile systems, it is desirable to quantify performance by analyzing some challenging problems which facing WiMAX Mobile Network in the (40), see the raised solutions for these problems and simulate these solutions to be ensured of the future competition.
Tn this thesis we will focus on one of the challenging problems (Indoor Coverage Problem), discussing the raised solutions, choose one solution and go deeply in the applicable
alternatives for this choice, comparing results for the best one and make an OPNET simulation network model to simulate these alternatives to be sure from the results that we have introduced a satisfied solution.
