Abstract
Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a hereditary hemoglobinopathy characterized by abnormal hemoglobin production,hemolytic anermia,and intermittent occlusion of small vessels leading to acute and chronic tissue ischemia,chronic organ damage and organ dysfunction.
