Abstract
Methotrexate, a folic acid antagonist, belongs to the antimetabolites group of cytotoxic drugs it is widely used as a chemotherapeutic agent and as an anti-rheumatic drug however, the efficacy of this drug is often limited by severe side effects and toxic sequelae.
