Abstract The present work was devoted to study the corrosion inhibition of aluminum and aluminum silicon alloys in NaOH and NaC1 solutions by gelatin, methyl cellulose and animal glue This work contains three basic chapters:Chapter 1: includes an introduction about the corrosion, corrosion theories, types of corrosion, corrosion piotection The adsorption isotherms weie elaborated. A literature review on corrosion inhibition of aluminum and aluminum silicon alloys was given Chapter 2: deals with the experimental part include complete descnption of the working procedures, prepaiation of solutions, electrode pretreatment, electiolytic cell and electrochemical measurements. Chapter 3: presents the results and discussion of the data obtained. This chapter is divided into six parts as follow Part (1): includes studying the corrosion behavior of aluminum and aluminum silicon alloys in NaOH solutions by potentiostatic polanzation technique in the absence and presence of diffei ent concentrations of gelatin, methyl cellulose and animal glue. |
