Abstract Among 105 fungal and bacterial isolates were isolated from soil ( mud and sand) and insects of Tropinota squalida (living , dead and egg) (all isolation samples were taken from Sharkia Governorate), 11 chitinolytic isolates were chosen to be tested against gramineae infecting insects as Nezara viridula and Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch). Blastomyces dermatitidis isolate was the most active against insects. Environmental and nutritional conditions were studied to detect the optimum conditions for growth and chitinases production |
