The main objective of this study as a pioneer study in the institution of religion was to identify the dimensions of religious behavior and their correlates in some rural areas of Menoufiya governorate through the achievement of some sub-objectives :a- to identify with the level of Islamic religious knowledge, beliefs, values, and practices of the studied rural people ,b- to analyze of correlations among religious behavior dimensions ,c- to determine the community and personal correlates of religious behavior dimensions ,d- to analyze comparatively of religious behavior dimensions on the basis of development level of village , gender and age of respondents. The study had been conducted in two villages of Menoufiya governorate where Al-amira village of Menouf district as a developed village and kom-Ayad village of Ashmoun district as an undeveloped village. A sample of 342 respondents were chosen randomly as 186 respondents of the first village and 156 respondents of the second village. The data were collected through personal interviews by using a specific questionnaire. Some statistical methods were used to describe and analyze the collected data such as percentages, measures of central tendency and dispersion as well as correlation and a step- wise multiple regression analysis through the use of SPSS. The study included five chapters; introduction, theoretical framework and literature review, methodology, findings and discussion, and conclusion. The study findings can be summarized as follows :
1- Regarding religious knowledge : most of the respondents had low level of knowledge ( 62% ) , there were six independent variables explained together significantly about 35% of the variance of the knowledge degree which were education, religious leadership, age, cultural cosmopolitness, community effect, and monthly income.

2- Regarding religious beliefs : most of the respondents had high level of beliefs ( 80% ) , there were three independent variables explained together significantly 8% of the variance of the beliefs degree which were family size, education, and age.
3- Regarding religious values : most of the respondents had moderate level of values( 55% ) , there were four independent variables explained together significantly 7% of the variance of the values degree which were monthly income, religious leadership, education, and community effect.
4- Regarding religious practices : most of the respondents had high level of practices (59% ) , there were five independent variables explained together significantly about 20% of the variance of the practices degree which were cultural cosmopolitness, standard of living, family size, age, and education.
5- Regarding correlations among dimensions of religious behavior there were significant high correlations among knowledge, beliefs, values, and practices which means consistency among them.
6- Regarding the comparative analysis there was a significant difference in degree of religious knowledge according to development level of the village, there were significant differences in the degree of religious beliefs according to development of the village, and age, and there were significant differences in degree of religious values according to development level of the village, and gender, besides, there were significant differences in degree of religious practices according to development level of the village, and gender.
Based on the study findings some theoretical and practical implications and recommendations were stated.
