المستخلص The present study aimed at Identify the readability level of the questions of the secondary stage chemistry textbooks. Define the extent in which the questions of the secondary stage chemistry textbooks take part in measuring some of the top thinking skills for students at this statge. And through the literatures introduced and through the previous studies have done at evaluating the textbooks, the study attempt to answer the following question;” What is the readability level of the chemistry textbooks questions for the secondary stage students, and to what extent it used to measure some of the top thinking skills for those students? ”from this basic question there are some sub question: 1-What is the readability level of the chemistry textbooks questions for the secondary stage students? 2-To what extent these questions take part in measuring some of the top thinking skills for students? 3-What is the suggested idea the exams’ questions of the chemistry subject of secondary stage? And To answer the research questions and hypothesis validation, the researcher used a list of criteria to be taken into account when rephrasing chemistry’ questions at a high school containing the two axes (readability, some higher skills of thinking).By the results of the analysis of questions of educational materials for high school chemistry turned out the following First: the lack of questions’ interest contained in the instructional materials for high school chemistry with measuring higher skills of thinking as the subject of a study .Second: The guide book has inside some questions that measure some highly thinking skills larger than of which that are in the school book. Third: The readability level of the questions contained in the educational materials for high school chemistry was in the linguistic and mental level for students of this stage. where the majority of questions not having the factors of readability difficulty (word factor, sentence factor). |
