Abstract The present work was carried out on 16 ossemi ewes reared on the farm of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Zagazig University. The ewes were 2-4 years old and their weights ranged from 40-60 Kg. All of them were kept under the same method of management and k.7,pt under good nygeinic measures. The animals were divided into four goups as the following: Group ”A”: Included 4 ewes served as control and fed on basal diet coposed of commercial concentrate mixture having 16% crude protein, hay and rice straw ad lib. Group ”B”: Contains 4 ewes received basal diet raised to 22% crude protein in commercial concentrate mixture using soya been meal, Group ”C”: Included 4 adult mature ewes fed on basal diet 16% crude protein and supplemented with vitamin and mine-ral mixture (2 g/Kg mixture). Group ”D”: Contains 4 adult mature ewes that received the basal diet that contained 22% crude protein in the concentrate mixture andHsupplemented with vitamin and mineral mixture (2 g/Kg mixture). The animals used in the experiment were studied for determination of blood and plasma volume were the results indicated that: 1.Blood and plasma volumes of adult mature ewes were 68 and 113 ml/kg body weight with an average of 90.5 ml/Kg body weight . 2.The means of haematological picture for sheep as following: a-Erythrocytic count were 11.4 millions/cumm. b-Leukocytic count were 10.95 thousands/cumm< c-Haemoglobin percentage were 86.22%. d-Packed cell volume were 30.5%. e-Serum iron level 1.6 mg/L blood serum. |
