Abstract In this investigation, twenty four rabbits of both sexes, 3months old collected from a farm in Sharkia for experimental infection with Listeria monocytogenes, 80 rabbits infected with pasteurellosis and 20rabbit infected with ear mange collected from different rabbit farms located in in Dakahlia and Damietta province. All used to study clinical, postmortem findings and histopathological lesions of these diseases with trials of rei solation and identification of reisolated isolates. The experimentally infected rabbits with Listeria monocytogenes via intraperitoneal route showed clinical signs in the form of poor appetite, depression, ruffled fur, diarrhea soiled hind quarter, respiratory signs, eye affection followed by emaciation then deaths. Macroscopically, severe congestion in liver, spleen, lungs, uterus, brain beside engorgement of mesenteric blood vessels were noticed. Sometimes, retention of urine and petechial and / or ecchymotic subcapsular hemorrhages in kidneys was also detected two weeks PI. Also, some infected rabbits showed conjunctivitis in addition to the presence of straw colored fluid in the abdominal cavity. Microscopically, Brain showed perivascular lymphocytic cuffing in Virchow robin space with focal lymphocytic aggregation in surrounding tissue and congested blood vessels were predominant 15 days PI. Congestion in meningeal blood vessels was also detected. Liver showed multiple areas of necrotic changes in the hepatic parenchyma. Proliferative bile ductules in portal area was also detected. Moreover, hyperplastic kuffers cells with various degenerative changes was also noticed. Focal congestion in sinusoidal blood vessels 7and 15daysPI was also detected.
