Abstract examined cases were subjected to pasteurella isolation, the samples were collected from different localities in sharkia province, 31 isolates gave a positive biochemical results to pasteurella multocida. Pasteurella multoe ida was isolated from different organs in a decreasing manner, 35.48%,29.03%, 16.13%, 9.67%, 6.45% and 3.22% from Heart blood, liver, ovary, Nasal cleft, bone marrow and lung respectively while the organism could not be isolated from wattles and joints. Fowl cholera was more common in native breads than in foreign breeds with representative isolation frequency of 14.01% and 4.45% respectively. Serological typing of 31 isolates of Pasteurella multocida revealed that 16 isolates belonged to 8:A serotype, 7 isolates to 5: A serotype, 3 isolates to -: A (untypable - A), 2 isolates to 2:0 serotype, 2 isolates to -: 0 serotype (untypable -D) and one isolate to 9: A serotype.
