skyline is considered an important urban feature of any architectural block or urban community for the great role it plays in the formation of the visual image of the city. Egyptian cities have been exposed to various influences, the most remarkable of which are technical development, economic and industrial changes, the horizontal and vertical expansion of cities, as well as other factors whose influence on the formation and character of the city skyline had not been pre-considered.
The study characteristics and patterns of the skyline and its components and is associated concepts through the study of the skyline of the Assiut city as one of the Egyptian cities represent the spatial scale of the study.
