Abstract Prospective non comparative study was done from June in 2011 to June in 2012. The patients were selected from the attendants of the inpatients and the out patient clinic of Ophthalmic Department of Zagazig University Hospital This study include two different categories of cases The first group describes a series of clinical studies on the effect of ALPI in the treatment of APACG. The main measure outcome was the IOP reduction. This study was applied on 10 eyes of 10 consecutive patients The second group describes a series of clinical studies on the effect of ALPI in the treatment of patients with narrow angles and/or plateau iris syndrome whose angles remain narrow after laser iridotomy. This study was applied on 11 eyes of 7 consecutive patients All patients had been submitted to full eye examination by slit lamp, ophthamoscope and gonioscopy by Goldman’s 3 mirrors Inclusion criteria of the first group1) First attack of APACG diagnosed by The presence of at least one of the following symptoms namely; severe pain, marked diminution of vision, seeing blue halos, nausea and /or vomiting. At least 4 of the following signs namely; corneal edema, unreactive mid-dilated pupil, iris bombe. Completely occl. |
