Abstract
Positive self perception of ageing is very important as it affects morbidity and mortality.
It is multi dimensional as it is affected by several factors: age stereotypes, quality of life, life satisfaction, positive and negative affect, elderly morale and psychological wellbeing.
This study was carried out in six geriatric clubs in Cairo among 72 community dwelling elderly males & females and in 4 geriatric clubs in Dubai among 50 community dwelling elderly males & females to find out how elderly perceive old age in both countries.
