Abstract
The term bronchography is generally restricted to radiographic examination in which the walls of the bronchial tree are coated with contrast agent.
It had long been established that negative findings on conventional X-ray film studies do not exclude lung pathology; bronchography which clearly outlines bronchial tree is often necessary to establish the diagnosis in some pulmonary diseases and define their extent (Crellin et al., 1954).
The aim of this work was to clarify the role of bronchography and to assess its diagnostic validity in some pulmonary diseases in an attempt to find out the pathological conditions in which bronchography could be of diagnostic aid.
