Abstract
The antibacterial and cleaning effects of Revo-S system and ultrasonic
system were compared using different irrigating solutions.This was done
through monitoring the effect of these systems and irrigants on E.faecalis that
has been incubated in sixty four palatal roots of maxillary molars for 48 hours.Mechanical preparation was done with Revo-S or ultrasonic files . During
instrumentation the root canals were irrigated with distilled water. E. faecalis(ATCC29212) was obtained, then calibrated to 5.9×104 colony forming units permL (CFU mL–1) spectrophotometrically in Muller-Hinton broth. 20 μL from of
the bacterial culture was transferred to the canal lumen of the mechanically
enlarged root canals using sterile micropipette and then incubated for 48 hours
