Abstract
IL - 8 is a potent proinflammatory chemokine that has a key role in the recruitment and activation of neutrophils during inflammation . The aim of the present study was to monitor changes in the GCF levels of IL - 8 after application of initial leveling orthodntic force . In addition changes in clinical periodontal parameters were recorded 6 months after the initial orthodontic tooth movement.
