Abstract Deep bite is defined as a condition of excessive overbite, it is a frequently seen malocclusion which can be associated with other specific malocclusions. It is considered one of the most difficult malocclusions to be treated and retained. Due to its detrimental effect on periodontal health, temperomandibular joint function as well as for esthetic reasons, correction of deep bite is often a main objective of orthodontic treatment. |
