The Style of performance of the Piano Dute in George
Bizet’s Children’s toys andHow it is utilized in
Developing the Piano Students Performing Skills
George Bizet’s (1838 – 1875) musical masterpiece ” Jeux d’ Enfants”, is
considered a two pianos Duet in which the two piano players use their four hands in
playing the musical piece, and one of the best music composed for children. It
includes twelve pieces of music each of which has a title denoting the theme of the
children’s toy referred to.
The research consists of four chapters in the following sequence:
The first chapter: includes the introduction and the previous studies and
is divided into two parts as follows:
· The first part includes the introduction and the problem of the research.
· The related previous studies.
The second chapter: includes the theoretical framework and is divided
into two parts as follows:
· The first part includes the history and development of the duet performance
in music playing.
· The second part includes George Bizet’s (1838 =1875) biography and his
major works.
The third chapter: includes the experimental framework of the research, and is
also divided into two parts as follows:
· The first part includes a descriptive study ( theoretical and performance
analysis) for a selected sample of musical pieces from George Bizet’s (1838 –
1875) musical masterpiece for children ” Jeux d’ Enfants”. This part also
includes the suggested training sessions and the required orientations for
overcoming the performance difficulties included in the selected sample of
the musical pieces.
· The second part includes the experimental part of the research applied to the
sample of the selected to be duet performed pieces of music, which are taken
from George Bizet’s (1838 – 1875) volume ” Jeux d’ Enfants”.
The fourth chapter: includes the research results and their explanations. It
includes the conclusions; the researcher could reach, the recommendations, and the
list of references dealt with, the summary and the abstract of the research in both of
the Arabic and the English languages.
