Abstract
The aim of work was to study the relationship betweenbetween sRAGE and urinary albumin excretion in type 2 diabetic patients. For the purpose of the study 70 subjects were included for the study and they were classified into four groups as following: Group 1: Include 20 patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus and normoalbuminuria. Group 2: Include 20 patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus and microalbuminuria. Group 3: Include 20 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and macroalbuminuria.Group 4: Include 10 healthy subjects as control group. Patients and controls were submitted to the following assessments: 1- Full history taking. 2- Through Clinical examination. 3- Estimation of body mass index (BMI). 4- Routine laboratory investigation · Fasting and 2 hours post prandial blood sugar. · Glycosylated hemoglobin (Hb A1C)· Serum creatinine.
