Abstract
The Thesis involves the design and synthesis of some new 1,2,4- Triazolobenzimidazole derivatives incorporating thiosemicarbazones (4a-d), 1,3- Thiazolines (5-8;a-f and 12a-d) Structure with biological investigation for their antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory activites. thus, thesis is prefaced by a brief account about the biological activities of 1,2,4- Triazolobenzimidazole derivatives and their thiosemicarbazone derivatives. in part, it includes also structural elucidation of the newly synthesized compounds.This work required the synthesis of the key intermediate; 1h-1,2,4- triazolo(1,5-a) benzimidazole-2-thione, compound 1 and its 2-methyisulfany derivative compound which were prepared according to reported procedures.
moreover the thesis involves the synthesis of 45 new compounds 5 key intermediates and 40 target.
