Abstract

This chapter includes illustration for the experimental methods used in this thesis. The cell used and the procedure of measuring the limiting current of copper electropolishing in case of natural convection (vertical copper plates ) and forced convection ( rotating disc and rotating cylinder electrode) in the absence and presence of surfactants ( Triton x-100 , Sodium dodecyl sulphate and cetyl pyridinium chloride Also this chapter contains the methods of measurements of physical properties of solution (density, viscosity, diffusion coefficient and surface tension) at different concentrations and temperatures in the absence and presence of surfactants. This chapter also shows the methods used for surface characterization (Scanning electron microscope, Atomic force microscope and Degree of brightness) in the absence and presence of surfactants.
