Abstract
” Esophagogastroduodenoscopy”: Impact of a designed nursing teaching protocol on nurse’s performance and patient’s outcome
The aims are: to assess knowledge and practice of nursing staff working in the GI endoscopy center, to determine the nursing intervention for patient undergoing upper endoscopy, then to design a teaching protocol , lastly to evaluate the effect of implementing the protocol on nurse’s knowledge, practices and on patient’s out come. Hypotheses: 1, 2) the post mean knowledge and practice scores of nurses exposed to a designed protocol was higher than their pre .3) A positive relationship exists between knowledge and practice score after protocol. 4) The incidence of complications associated with endoscopy after protocol implementation was lesser than pre. Aquasi-experimental research design was utilized; a convenient sample of 30 nurses and 60 adult patients. The study conducted at GI endoscopy center at Assiut University Hospital. Tools: 1) Pre/post test nurses’ performance assessment sheet 2) Patient’s nursing need assessment sheet .3) Destined teaching protocol, 4) patient evaluation sheet. Results show a good improvement in the knowledge & practice scores after implementing the protocol. Conclusion; Improving nurses’ knowledge and practice can favorable affect the incidence of complication.
مناظير الجهاز الهضمي العلوي : تأثير تطبيق بروتوكول تمريضي تعليمي مصمم على أداء الممرضات وعلى مستوى تحسن المريض
استهدفت الدراسة :على قياس معلومات ومهارات الممرضات اللاتي يقدمن العناية للمرضى الخاضعين لمناظير الجهاز الهضمي العلوي.وتحديد الاحتياجات التمريضية قبل إجراء المنظار و تصميم بروتوكول تعليمي لهن. ثم تقييم تأثير تطبيق هذا البروتوكول على المعلومات والمهارات لديهن وكذلك مستوي تحسن المريض .
وقد وضعت الفروض البحثية الآتية : معلومات التمريض بعد تلقى البروتوكول التمريضي المصمم تكون أفضل من ما قبله. أداء التمريض بعد تلقى البروتوكول التمريضي المصمم سوف يكون أفضل من ما قبله, توجد علاقة إيجابية بين معرفة وأداء التمريض الذي تلقي البروتوكول التمريضي. نسبة حدوث المتاعب والمضاعفات بعد تطبيق البروتوكول التعليمي للممرضات اقل من نسبة حدوثها قبل تطبيق البروتوكول التعليمي.
تم استخدام بحث شبه تجریبي بهذه الدراسة. أجريت هذه الدراسة بمركز مناظير الجهاز الهضمي استغرق طور جمع البيانات 6 اشهر. وقد اشتملت عينة الدراسة 30 ممرضة و 60 مريض ( مجموعة ضابطة ومجموعة الدراسة ) وقد تم جمع البيانات عن طريق المقابلة البناءة والملاحظة المباشرة من قبل الباحثة (قبل- بعد تنفيذ البروتوكول مباشرة).
