Abstract
The main objectives of this investigation were to study the seed ecology from three main objectives which include seed topography, Germination potentialities under photo-thermal interaction, Phenological characters under combined effects of drought-salinity interaction.
The first chapter deals with seed description of 18 plant species based on their qualitative characters using magnifying lens and light microscope and micro-morphological characters using SEM.
For chapter 2, this chapter deals with germination potentialities of studied species under different photo-thermal regimes.
To achieve this, a complete random block design for petri dishes of nine photo-thermal regimes was designed from 10-40°C of 16 species growing in growth chamber.
For chapter 3 deals with the effect of combined drought salinity interactions on phonological parameters of different ecological groups . Salinity obtained by NaCl (0, -0.75, -1.5 MPa) and drought obtained by PEG 6000 (0%, 20%, 40%) namely as control, moderate and high drought stress with nine combinations.
