Abstract
Vaginal infection is recognized as a major public health problem that causes a variety of problems for women at all ages. to evaluate the health brhaviors that are associated with vaginal infections among married women in Ismailia City. descripitive survey was conducted. Eight governmental rural & urban PHC centers in Ismailia were randomly selected to representing the geographical zone A total (360) married women at reproductive age (18-40) was included Pregnant women, medical disorders such as diabetes and thyroid disorder, after antibiotic treatment and use of OCC pills were excluded. two main tools were used, structured interviewing and vaginal swap for microbiological tests. results show that the prevelance of vaginal infection was 93% while 80.1% of cases have recurrent vaginal infection. most of women have bacterial vaginal infection while 11.3% have C albicans and 3.9% have T. vaginals.
