Abstract Three field experiments were carried out at two locations the first, at Sakha Research Station, Rice Research and Training Center (RRTC), Sakha, Kafr EL-Sheikh Governorate and the second at New Valley Research Station, El-Kharga, New Valley Governorate, during the two seasons 2011 and 2012 to Study the performance of six rice cultivars under both heat and water stresses and extracted rice bran oil from grains of these cultivars to determine its percentage. All studied characters were affected under the stresses. The six rice cultivar significantly varied in the most traits under high temperature and water stresses. The cultivar Giza178 out-yielded the other cultivars in grain yield under the mentioned conditions. Grain yield was decreased under water and high temperature stress more than under control conditions for all cultivars. Grain quality characters were reduced significantly under stresses. Rice bran oil % was increased under stresses more than under normal conditions. |
